Tman69671
I am quite experience in making lures out of pine and oak. I was looking for a quicker way and way to make better duplications. I was looking at resin. Do you guys have any recommendations? I want a similar buoyancy
Stash Baits
Check out the products at makelure.com or aluminite.com.
mark poulson
If you are a carver try PVC trimboard, by AZEK. It is buoyant, waterproof, and carves like wood without grain. http://azek.com/products/trim/trim
Tman69671
I'm not necessarily a carver I want to be able to mold lures to get perfect duplications but have similar bouyancy as wood so little modification is needed to the designs
rock
Lots of options with the plastics. Alumilite shells with lightweight foams inside, alumilite with microballoons, or just closed cell polyurethane foams. I have made a few out of 15 lbs closed cell foam and like the density and toughness. Do your research on the vendors sites and decide what buoyancy you want. You can usually buy smaller amounts to experiment with. Rock
Tman69671
How durable is that foam? I have also read a little on featherlite anyone using that?
