stretcher66
seems to be out of stock on a few of the baits, but has some others that might interest you. http://unpaintedlures.com/index.html
barr5150
I just picked up 20 (10 with rattles & 10 without) from unpaintedlures.com. They are awesome! I always thought spending $2 on a blank was too much until I watched a bunch of $1 blanks swim in circles. Trust me, these are real quality blanks. Cru3rd
Can you post some pictures of them. Do they have the spro style eyes?
barr5150
Yea they have the eyes as well. Red, black and yellow I believe. I have some pics on my phone. I put a couple up in a bit.

barr5150
I don't have a picture of the eyes but they are the nice 3D molded eyes made for these lures. I've seen some guys use the flat sticker eyes and just cut them in half but that's not my style.
Cougarftd
Do they float?
barr5150
I've heard some guys having trouble with them floating but I think it's how they set them up. I found some info on another forum, I'll try and find the link. A guy posted if you use 5mm rings, #6 hooks and epoxy clear they are fine. I use GST so I assume my finished lures will be even lighter. I'll post what I find out.
barr5150
http://www.bbcboards.net/rod-building-tackle-making/448030-spro-knockoffs.html Cougar your part of that thread! Small world! I was going off of what fordguy 85 said about the rings and hooks.
Cru3rd
i think ill give a few a try, is it just the rattle ones with the spro style eyes or are the silent ones the same way. just kind of confusing by the descrption on there website. barr5150
Both baits are the same the only difference is the ones with the rattles have 2 small bb's floating around inside.

gone2long
Is this it? This was posted in the gallery not sure if it is a repaint or a virgin blank? http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/media/gallery/category_8/gallery_24925_8_135164.jpg
Cougarftd
If it is the ones I am thinking of you will have no problems with GST and light wire hooks
barr5150
If it is the ones I am thinking of you will have no problems with GST and light wire hooks Good to hear! I use the Mustad-36246R hooks on my knockoff's. Their pretty light wired compared to the KVD versions.
joetheplumber
Gon2long that's a real Little John MD I posted in the gallery. Seems all the blanks for sale sink with epoxy so I've never used the ko's. Our local tackle shop put right many LJ's in the discount box for $6 so we bought em all. Seemed like a great deal to me cause they sure do catch fish around here. Does that Fat pappa work good? Been wanting to try em just haven't gotten to it yet. fish whisperer
Hey Guys My name is Dudley and Im the owner of unpaintedlures.com first I would like to thank everyone for all the positive feed back on my lures but I just wanted to clear up the action of the little john it is a slow sinking lure with the right hardware on it it will actually suspend and with a quick twich of the rod tip it will turn almost all the way around and then turn back towards you slowly and you can reel it in for cranking action if some of them are floating Im not sure why unless its just lighter hardware thanks your business is appreciated very much

sunkist
Found some fat pappa blanks on ebay. First I have ever seen so I don't know about the quality. http://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Unpainted-lures-fat-poppa-style-/321335554570?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4ad117720a
saltshaker
I've bought tons of stuff from Dudley at www.unpaintedlures.com and you will not find a better supplier. Warp speed shipping, professional service and always quality stuff. I don't buy hooks anywhere else because his price and quality are hard to beat. About the Little Johns......I've sold tons of Dudley's blanks and find that my buyers prefer the slow sinking/suspending more than floaters. When I say slow sinking.......it is s-l-o-w.
