VanderLaan
Got a few blanks with what I assume are mold marks. Best way to get rid of them? Small grit sandpaper? Steel wool?
joetheplumber
I use scotch brite pads and sometimes wet sand with very fine sandpaper. Be careful and avoid getting water inside the blank when wet sanding. Some have small holes around the hook hangers that can leak. On a one knocker I've had a couple of the weights get stuck from this happening. I always seal around the hangers first now with super glue just to be sure. bassguy
Since you're going to paint them anyway. Just take some 100 grit sandpaper and go to it. Just take the ridge down flush and rough up the rest of the bait for the paint to bite. Jerry
