senseamila
Hello All, I need to clear coat some spinnerbaits and was wondering if anyone has ever tried clear no-chip nail polish? If so how does it hold up? I only have a couple dozen to paint and nail polish is pretty cheap. Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. Jig Man
I use it on jigs and spinnerbaits over the eyes. It does a descent job and like you stated it's cheap.
smallmouthaholic
Sally Hanson's Hard as Nails will work well for your situation
mark poulson
I've used it for years. Even some of the cheaper clear polishes are hard, and will do the job, because they are formulated to protect the softer colored polish once that's been applied. You can also add soft plastic glitter to the clear to add flake to your jigs at the same time you protect them.

mark poulson
that is a great idea mark, thanks Erick, Wet 'n Wild clear is cheap and does the job. CVS carries it.
LedHed
Try it first on a sample first . Some FPs will lift certain powder paints. Chartreuse and hot pink are problematic for me. Sally Hansen has a new clear coat that is supposed to be compatible with "all" paints. WetnWild is great stuff - super cheap - and been around a long time. Easy to use and can be thinned down with acetone.
