Slammingjack
If anybody has any Minnow Silver LC, with any age on it you may want to thrown it out. Mines was about a year old. I went to heat it in the microwave and it started a fire. I had shake it well,. stirred it well into the cold Plastisol. Set the microwave for one min. turn it on and started setting things up to pour. I saw out of the corner of my eye A light inside the microwave. Whatever base they use to suspend that flake it had turned almost to like a glue. The flake had caked itself to the bottom of my cup. I dumped the 3/4 cup of Plastisol out but the stuff was burned to the bottom. So like a dummy Tired washing it out Hot glass hot water = no more cup. No one got hurt. So I'm out a cup and 3/4 cup Plastisol. Guess I'll try .008 sliver to get what I want in a bait. Won't use that stuff again.

The myth is that metal will burn and catch fire in the microwave, but the reality is it is anything shiny and reflective. try it again but add it after, once dispersed in hot plastic it will suspend better than raw plastic. I have used it in the past without any issue.
alsworms
+1 Get that plastic warm first, then add the minnow silver. It definitely is a tricky color, though. It was one of only a handful that I added after the plastic was heated.

Bassinfool
If there was a video of me when something like that happened I would have to preface the video with a warning about substantial use of profanity lol.
Slammingjack
Thx everybody for your reply. This isn't the first time I have used this stuff. Something like the fourth or fifth time. I always put my color in cold plastic and stir it up real good. I heat until almost done and then add flake stir and pour or heat for 10 or 15 sec. if needed. I know this is a flake or whatever, but never had trouble with it before. Two weeks ago I used it and had to thrown out two baits because of black spots in them. I only use it in two baits I make. So I'll just find something else to use. Maybe silver pearl powder and some .008 flake. Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone who uses it. To watch it as it gets old.
