surfk9
Here on the california central coast (Monterey county) I'm having difficulty finding Azek...only one lumber store can order it for me (tried home depot, lowe's and several local lumber yards)...the problem is apparently their supplier doesn't handle smooth both sides only reversible with grain on one side....price seems reasonable, 1 x 4 x 18 feet for $40.00....guess my main question is will it be a serious pain to sand this "grain" off...or other suggestions as to where i might order it....the upside ordering locally is no shipping cost...thanks , surfk9
Reelentless
In my local Homedepot, they only carry the trim board with the grain as well. I'll find out soon if it's a pain to sand.Belt sander should make quick work though.
RayburnGuy
You can order it online at the link below. Last time I checked they offered it in a smooth finish on both sides. Be sure to get the trim board as it's lighter than the deck boards. Ben http://www.vintagewoodworks.com/
MuskyGary
Thanks for that web page. I just ordered a 3/4 inch piece to try out!
RayburnGuy
My pleasure Gary. It should make a great bait for muskies since it's waterproof and fairly tough. Ben
j27
I have no problem sanding the textured side of the pvc trim board i get from Lowes. I use a belt sander. John
