mark poulson
I've used both carpenter's glue and thinned D2T epoxy. I prefer the epoxy. Two thinned coat (thinned with denatured alcohol AFTER the epoxy is thoroughly mixed) and brushed on. After five minutes or so I remove any excess that hasn't soaked into the POP so I don't lose any details from epoxy ponding. I've use runny super glue for repairs, so it would probably work as an overall sealer, too, but it's expensive for me to use. SlowFISH
I've also used Dick Nites with pretty good success as well.... you can pretty much seal with anything that you can get in there evenly and dries rock hard. J.
bass100
I do what Mark does. I first mix up a batch of D2T but I make it almost like water so that it penetrates deep into the mold. The next coat I make a little thicker and so on. It takes a while with D2T but when you are done the molds are indestructable. The thinner you make the epoxy the better the detail. You can actually drop them and they won't break. Here is a pic of a Mann's jelly worm that was discontinued years ago. The mold is around 12 years old.
