texacan84
Hello everyone. I'm having a hard time trying to make a color. It looks kinda like a white pearl with black flakes bot in the sunlight or when it hit the water it turns to a light sparkling blue, looks kinda like what a shad does when it turns a certain way in the water. I tried using white pearl and blue pearl but not having any luck. I hope I explained it right. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of a recipe that might get me there? Thanks...George. bass100
Take out the blue pearl and add blue super highlight.
bass100
Per 2 cups of plastic: 10 drops white 2 dash pearl white 2 dash blue super highlight 1/2 tsp black .015 flake
MonteSS
Yes Bass100 has it right. For the most part.... Pearls affect the color of the plastic as does regular colorant. Hi lite puts an "outer skin" on the bait of a different color
alsworms
I never had much luck with pearls and hi-lites mixed together. Always found that pearls are a more dominant color, making the hi-lite hardly noticeable. I'd go with a heavy amount of Lure Craft Minnow Silver, black flake, and a touch of blue hi-lite. texacan84
Sounds great guys. Thank you for the info. I finally found out what color it is, one is called glimmer blue and the other one is called oyster shell. Would that be the same recipe that you all gave me? Thanks... alsworms
Glimmer Blue is dead on with the recipe I gave you. Never heard of Oyster Shell though...........
texacan84
Thanks alsworms. I will have to order some silver minnow and blue hi lite, all I have is blue pearl. But I will be giving it a try. I think that is one awesome color. My son has done well with that color in a spinnerbait for his high school tournaments. Thanks again.
