walleyeking69
I've been trying to paint silver over black. it just seems to just clump up over the black. What am I doing wrong or is it possible I go a bad bottle of paint. The paint is wicked silver metallic, it come out of the bottle really thick like the consistency of pudding. Big Bass Man
Buy an empty paint bottle & pour half of the paint into it, then fill with paint reducer. It will give you two bottles of paint & good flow through your airbrush.

Skeeter
Who makes the paint? Is it Createx Wicked Colors? And yes it is possible that the paint is bad. With the consistancy of pudding I would say that you need to get some new paint. Paint should NEVER be that thick. Extreme temps where paint is stored can destroy paint quality.(i.e. a too hot or cold garage). Also, many paints have a shelf life. Sounds like your paint has reached it. Reelentless
Not to mention the "Wicked" line I believe has a smaller particle size and sprays smoother than my regular Createx. I only have a few but the ones I do have seem thinner right out of the bottle.
mark poulson
I have both black and white in the Wicked Air paints. I use them for base coating, mostly. The black is thin enough to spray right out of the bottle, but the white needs to be thinned. I use the 4011 reducer.
joetheplumber
The air temps will cause this problem for sure. I've been waiting for it to warm up some to order any new paints. I'm worried that they'll freeze while being shipped. Hurry up spring time!!!
walleyeking69
Thanks every one. I bought it at hobby lobby. I think I will get a new bottle and try that first.
