Mudd Butt Baits
Anyone know of a weight that can be pushed in the body to make it sink? I was thinking of getting stock rod and cutting to what I needed. Maybe there is already some thing I can buy that would do the same thing? DAWG1419
I add small nails to my flukes of course with the head cut off. Works great and cheap
Mudd Butt Baits
I just tried a finshing nail for trim, easy to cut and cheap. Do you heat them up so the pastic will cool and grab on to them? I am putting it in a tail of a floating bait.
Bassinfool
Finishing nails is what I use. No heating them up, just push them in and squeeze the plastic to push it all the way into the bait so it doesn't come back out.

Apdriver
Caney Creek molds has a product to sink baits : "HDS Additive is a naturally occurring silicate formulated specifically for use in making soft plastic baits sink" mhh does anyone know what kind of product this is ? I've used it and like it. Makes the bait very durable. They will last much longer than salt infused. Messes with your colors though and takes a lot of colorant. I think it's powdered glass infused in worm oil or softener.
