ipt
never done it but i dont see why it wouldnt work, leave yourself as much extra on the top so your hot plastic can get sucked into the cavities. the mold should have enough vents if you can inject it, shouldnt need to dremel anything
toadfrog
Have you asked any mold makers if they have anything that you want in a hand pour . Sometimes they have things not listed . Every time I hear the word Dremel I almost go into spasms . I'm pretty sure someone has what you need . Chopping up a mold will cause the toad to croak . Gives me cold shivers even if it's not mine . Ok now I'll shut the heck up .

I can't understand why you would purchase a precision ,CNC injection mold and turn it into a hand pour mold. I'm sorry but it doesn't make sense to me. You may be able to find hand-pour,1 sided CNC molds but you're contradicting the 1st sentence in your post.
MonteSS
Injector is like $50 bucks. Just inject it. I have an extra Do-it medium one to sell if interested. Edited March 29, 2014 by MonteSS
bass100
Like toadfrog said, just let the mold maker know what straight tail worm you want and they will have no problem making it in a hand pour mold.

CObasser
JSC. .....You would be correct. I have a Dels stick mold and it is a 2 pc hand pour and would like something like that Just for straight tail drop shot worms and have not seen any for sale .....the reason why is I don't have the cash to invest into injection production right now...injectors ...hot plates ...New molds ..... and also the time to become proficient at it ....so I am looking at starting to sell with most of my hand poured stuff but I want a full body worm ....I'm looking at modifying the 4.5 inch treat worm mold
CObasser
After looking at it ...it won't work with that mold .There's no space on top for extra pour hold space ...I did contact them about getting one made as a hand pour .thanks for the input guys
