Working with Modge Podge

Recommended Posts

Just bought a container of Modge Podge for about 5 bucks at Wally World. I read quite a few posts on tacklemaking.com some time ago. I never got around to trying it though. I just applied a cote to a swimbait mold, hopefully the results will be good. I don't have any idea how many cotes I'm gonna need. I was hoping you guys could help me out a bit. Thanks!

Figures! "If something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is!" I just went out to the workbench to check out the mold, loved the results so I thought I had finally found the best stuff to use on my molds. Reaper, about how long does it take to peel off? And..can you keep applying new cotes after it starts to peel? Please tell me I haven't ruined an entire swimbait mold! If this doesn't work I guess it's back to Devcon. Guess I'm gonna have to learn the true meaning of patience! :pissed:

We have learned the hard way........DEVCON is the only way to go. Try 2 thin coats and dye it with food coloring. This really helps you see how to pour especially those white baits. Had the hardest time pouring white baits in white molds......ahhhhhh.........Good Luck
