JR2
I am in need of some thin "pencil" style belly weights that are 2 grams or less. I need smaller diameter weights ( 3/16 dia at the largest) than the one sold by Jann's or Lure Parts which are 7/32s in diameter. Anybody have a source? Jdeee
Have you thought about using solder wire?
wishn4fishn
These may work for you. Ones a 1/32 worm weight and the others a 1/16 finesse weight from bass pro Edited April 1, 2014 by wishn4fishn
Reelentless
Lead pellets from a pellet gun?
Anglinarcher
Pellet guns shoot copper or steel pellets. Stilllllll, not a bad idea, just a little lighter. I have access to lead shot for shotguns and it is available in lots of different sizes. pretty expensive to by 25 pounds if you don't use a lot of it, but...... You can get lead wire of any size from some craft suppliers as well.
Cuttem Jack
Could you use drop shot weights and cut them to size?
RayburnGuy
McMaster Carr has lead wire in an assortment of diameters. If your looking for a weight with the hook hanger incorporated into it just cut the lead wire to length and drill a hole through the center of it. Then use stainless wire to form a loop with the tag ends inserted through the hole in the lead and then bent over so it can't come back out. Jaw
Try cutting to length 3/16 brass rod you can get it at home improvement stores for a good price and drill it out if you want your wire to pass through
JR2
Thanks for all the good ideas... now I have more work for myself besides the honey-do list! I have used the worm weights and he "pass-thru" on some larger cranks.
