aaarneson
When powder coating do you guys leave in the pin from the mold, put in anew one dedicated for painting, not use a pin, or already have a weedguard in when painting.I have also heard some people with puttheir jigs in the toaster oven in before painting then a quick touchwith another heat source and then dip....for those of you that dothat....how long do you have it in the oven and at what temp? Thanks
gone2long
I bought the Teflon pins for powder painting jigs and heat them in a toaster oven I dip with the pin in then remove before curing the jig, timing well that really lies on how hot your toaster oven gets and what setting you use but as a rule of thumb is around 15-20 minutes for around 25 jigs hanging on rack. aaarneson
Is it easy to clean off the paint build up from the Teflon pin?
gone2long
Yeah real easy it will chip right off with you nail or if you lightly bend them it will crack off. Remember your not curing the paint with the pin in so the powder that is on the pin is not really cured.
Ccfish
Never thought about the teflon pins gonna have to try that. I've been using a dremel tool with a burr bit the same size as the weed guard to clean the paint out of the holes.
