taylor1595
Have been using MF with some good results but after reading about BJ plastic on here decided to buy 5 gallons during the sale. Poured some swimbaits with it for the first time last night and have some questions. Is anyone else having tons of micro bubbles on initial heat up in microwave? It's really bad but settles out some as it sits and not as bad on reheats. Also are y'all's baits u pour with BJ sticky? They seem to be getting less tacky as they cure but the MF was never tacky. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
toadfrog
One are you shaking the jug . If so stop . Roll the jug over and over to mix any settlement .vigorously shaking a jug will help to mix air in the plastic . Hence bubbles . I normally don't have bubble issues from almost anybodies plastic . But if I do I put a vac on it to reduce the air concentration . You can find out how to build a vac on YouTube or Bait Junky's will sell you one . I 'm not promoting any product Just trying to educate . Its is the user at the end product that needs to degas the plastic because that is where the most control over the product is obtained . Hope this helps ease the problem .
taylor1595
Yes I've been shaking it just like I did the MF from basstackle but didn't have any bubbles from the MF and I shook the heck out of it. Will try rolling it on next pour. There are so many bubbles that when the plastic is hot enough you can't tell by looking because it's so milky with bubbles. You have to take it out and stir to see the consistency.
Baitjunkys
Which plastic did you buy? We recomend the degassed plastic for the microwave.
taylor1595
Maybe that's the issue. I bought the regular...... Guess I should have done more reading. Didn't even look at the degassed. Feel like an idiot now
Baitjunkys
As long as plastic isnt cold. Under say 60 degrees it will tale a pretty good shaking without aerating itself. In your case we didnt degass it as it works well in a presto pot not doing so. And saves the end user some cost. Not degasding keeps price competative and the product is apples to apples of a unamed competitor. If there is anything we can do to help you out on this particular order let me know. I will do whatever we can. Edited April 16, 2014 by Baitjunkys
