Some of the last ones that I bought did not seem to turn well. Is their another brand that works well that may be cheaper than the sampos. Thanks for the information. The cheapest way to buy them, if not in bulk is to buy them by the 100 count, the cheapest I found is Barlows tackle and you have to order the swivels without split rings attached and then buy the split rings separately from them as well, 100 swivels without the rings is $45.77 and then you buy the rings which are $4.59 per 100 and you need 200 so the total cost for 100 complete at Barlows is $54.95. I love my spinner baits now more than ever. I'm sure it helps that I've worked on my 3 color painting scheme and tying techniques, but the bearings are the best yet. Look for American made premium ball bearing swivels, then order the rings. It takes very little time to attach the rings to the swivel. Braided Line Posted May 3, 2014 Report Share Posted May 3, 2014 I fish a of of weedy ,grassy areas in Florida. Use mostly braided line. No swivel. Tie right onto the spinner. Use Baitcaster reels ...............only. No line problems. Swivels certainly have there place but not for me. If I had to buy any, I`d get the bearing kind.
