smallmouthaholic
Problem is none of the stores in my area carry them and i did'nt want to order online. Ordering online is a necessity if you wish to obtain all the necessary components and plastic to make your own baits. The motor and stirrer is the expensive part(ordered from bears baits). Many times you can find complete pots w/ Stirrers for sale on his forum website- http://bearsbaitsforum.com/index.php?action=login2
Apdriver
Here's another option for stirrers. They're on sale now too. Also other parts and supplies for injection, Temperature Control, plastic, colorant, etc. http://www.shopbaitjunkys.com/Baitjunkys-Pro-Parts_c_50.html
nedyarb
I don't think he was mentioning a stirrer, I read it as another heat source. Like a crock pot or something.
steve71
All I asked was a simple question and all I have got is sales pitches for other companies. Please can anyone tell me a simple answer to my question, is there any cookers in the stores that I can buy that will do equal to presto? The stores in my area don't have presto and I need one pretty quick and don't want to pay 100 dollar overnight shipping.
andy1976
Amazon has presto pots. Looked them up and they are about 30 dollars plus free shipping if you spend 35. Check them out.

Kajan
Well, fishon-son was just lettin you know, most any walmart has the pots. Possible there was a run on the pots in your area. Maybe others in your area started making their own plastics. But normally, Walmarts carry Presto pots. And to answer your question, if you an find any simular pot with regulated heat that goes at least to 400 degrees F, should work.

gone2long
Go onto Wal-Mart's website you may be able to order it and have it delivered to your local store, I had to do that to get a bottle of future.

SlowFISH
I looked ALOT for different options before I bought a Presto - I wanted something small, as I usually only cook up 8oz at a time. The fry daddy is the only real option out there in a small size BUT... it doesn't have a heat control so I didn't even bother with and just went and bought a presto for $27 at Walmart. Trust me - if there were other low cost options, the guys on this board would have let you know... the reason everyone is suggesting Prestos is they are really the only legit option at a super low price point unless you want to starting rigging up something yourself. Steve, Just order the presto online and have it shipped site to store. Free shipping and you can pick it up at the Walmart you choose to have it shipped to. As far as another alternative, you could always build your own out of a paint pot and use a band heater, but you will have much more $$$ tied up in it. And you will have to have a heat controller. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?q=paint+pot
fishon-son
walmarts ships to walmarts free steve so every walmart carrys pots...not trying to be a smart a$$...I think you could get a pot in 3 days to ur store ...
