mark poulson
Is there anyone here who pours a laminated senko-type 5" worm with colors like Robo's Aaron's Magic?
Ryan1995
do you mean just 3 color senkos?
MonteSS
As Ryan said Aaron's Magic is a three color lam. Wont show very well either with the salt. http://www.roboworm.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/2012%20color%20descriptions.pdf
Ryan1995
It may be possible. I may give it a try just for fun. In theory, all you have to do is hand pour both sides of the aluminum mold, clamp them together, and inject the middle. A little time consuming, but i'm sure it can be done. MonteSS
I agree its posible. Just dont think you will see the middle color since they wont be very translucent and will get dark. I would do just the outer two colors as a two color lam. Besides color doesn't matter in sticks
Ryan1995
I agree. Might try it in the near future, and will post pics if I do.
mark poulson
With a nail weight in the middle you could probably pour them without salt.

Travis
I have done triple poured senkos. I pour the one side first (laminate) then do the final pour. You have to get the timing down right or get cold cracks at one extreme or running/pooling in the other.
mark poulson
Thanks Dink Master! I found them on TW, and ordered some. Edited May 15, 2014 by mark poulson

mark poulson
Here's the description from Tacklewarehouse: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Top_Shelf_Magic_Sticks/descpage-TSMS.html It says sinking, but doesn't mention salt. alsworms
Probably that new sinking additive?
Ryan1995
Nice bait but did you look at the price!? $6.99 for a 5-6 pack comes out to a dollar and change each!

Yeah but with that color selection........and if the action is actually like a senko..........they should have no problem selling them. Problem is I've used a few different knock-offs with the sinking additive and haven't been entirely impressed with them.
mark poulson
I just received my order from TW. The Top Shelf sticks don't seem to be salty, but they are very translucent, so whatever they use to add weight doesn't cloud the colors. mark poulson
DaveMc1, That looks like a good candidate, for sure. They feel really soft, and I don't know how soft that sinking plastic is, or whether adding softener would make it more buoyant. Al, I just put them in the boat, in our 90+degree spring weather. I'm seeing snow and storms in the east, and we're melting out here. I should shut up, it's down from 100+ earlier in the day. I'll try one tomorrow, and let you know. mark poulson
Al, I tied on one of the 5" Top Shelf Magic Sticks on yesterday, but the lake was too dirty to see how it fell. And the wind came up, making fishing it a real chore, so I put it down. It weights 9.7 grams, exactly the same as one of my original BYCB senkos, but it is just a tad stiffer, when I hold them both in the middle and let the ends droop side by side. As soon as I can actually see how it falls I'll let you know. MF has a sinking softener listed too I guess my email to them asking about softener must look pretty dumb, right about now. Hahaha
