Big Splash Posted June 1, 2003 Report Share Posted June 1, 2003 This is my muskie spinnerbait with a bucktail treble hook. It weighs just over 1 1/2 oz., the flutted indiana blade is size #7. The firetiger pattern is a first for me. I'd like to hear some feedback on this paintjob, as well as the lure design. Big Splash Posted June 13, 2003 Author Report Share Posted June 13, 2003 Nathan, the weight is just over 1 1/2 oz., I designed the head to be long and slender in profile to provide a realisticly sized bait-fish shape. It gives me a large area to paint patterns on too. The treble hook attached with a heavy split ring gives it added action in the water. With the hook trailing well behind the rest of the lure, Mr. Muskie gets the point right away. I rigged this one up with a single hook bucktail to fish the rivers here (regulation), and caught fish on the first test casts. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
