Tally
Has anyone used a stencil burner? Please give me your feedback on how you like it. I have been looking at one for about a week now and need to know if they are worth the money. They are suposed to make cleaner and sharper cuts than an exacto knife. Thanks in advance Tally
Mattlures
They work ok but they do not make sharp cuts. They work by melting through the mylar witch does not give you sharp edges. However they are fast and easy to use.
Coley
Tally, I have been using pieces of wire bent in different shapes and a propane torch to heat it with, then burning the stencil. Workes very good. You have to sand the edges around the burn to make them smooth. Coley
BassNator 1
Stay away from the stencil burners. I have one and I dont like it at all. I'll sell it to you if you want!! I think that extra sharp exacto blades is the way to go. And yes it was answered correctly, all it does is melt the Mylar or plastic, so sharp edges are not gonna happen!
