LimpNoodle
I'd like to duplicate the Mepps and Blue Fox spinners. Is there a chart or something that tells me what size components I need for each size?
Roadkill
Don't know if there is an actual chart on either. What I did was go out and buy a couple in different sizes of both brands. Didn't cost all that much. From there you can pretty much guess the components on any other size. It is really easy to duplicate those things. Apdriver
If you go to Jann's there is a component sizing chart on their website. Windows based and you'll need to print it out for correct sizing. You need the lure in hand to use the chart. Let's you know what size things are. For your wire size, a set of calipers is what I use. Roadkill
Another idea. You can go to the company websites where they will offer you a catalog. These company catalogs will often give you more info as far as blade size, hook size, weight, etc. Still, there is no substitute for "lure in hand" duplicating. I find most of their wire a little wimpy and usually bump it up a notch. Like I said these things are very easy to duplicate or modify to your own liking. Good luck. gonfishn
Some of the sites even show the differences between their #4 and the "other guys" #3.5, I know Worth Blades are sometimes a bit larger than another brand's so these charts come in handy.
