Jig Man
I used to press garlic and add it to petroleum jelly or cooking oil but found it easier to just buy CB's Hawg Sauce.
Walking Dead
I used to press garlic and add it to petroleum jelly or cooking oil but found it easier to just buy CB's Hawg Sauce. It is, I buy BJ's scents, just interested in producing some of my own potions to say I did.

JRammit
I had a clever idea that worked great!.... At first... Stole some of my wife's pure fish oil pills, cut em open and just poured strait in a plastic bag with my crappie jigs.... First day out, EVERY fish (22, not to brag) swallowed the hook!!!... But... By the next time I got out to the lake, the bag was stuck shut, had to rip it apart to get my jigs out... Thinkin ill mix it in with some other type of oil to keep it from getting sticky...??? mark poulson
We used to use paraffin oil on wood butcher block tops because it doesn't turn rancid. I don't know if it will work for scents.

BassRepublic
Oh I know... my wife is an authorized dealer in the stuff. Which ones have you found to work the best? Have any negative reactions with any?
Baitjunkys
I have had better luck making our own vs buying the popular brand. Seems the manufactured brand goes rancid quick.im fairly certain it is not worm oil based.
aulrich
What about mineral oil(unscented naturally) as a base that won't go rancid?

Bassinfool
Don't use mineral oil, not good for the plastics or for you to breath.
Shane D
Can't you just add a concentrated scented oil to a larger quantity of worm oil?
Downeaster2010
I used to use Cod liver oil, and scent it with anise. Worked pretty good and was fish based.
