army-boot
basstackle doesnt have the bt bomb anymore, may have been one of bobs designs? I love the bt bomb though, wish I had a 4 cavity of the smaller one instead of the 2, hopefully we'll see it offered again.

You will not find the super thin ribs like the DBomb, it would cost way too much. Edited June 19, 2014 by DaveMc1

rcbv
Those bumps are not like the deep ribs. Makes a world of difference when machining, as we are finding out.
nedyarb
This is as close as I've seen. Love this lure http://store.do-itmolds.com/Birch-Bug-425_p_92.html
Walking Dead
That birch bug is expensive for one cavity. 85 + shipping.
DaveMc1
That birch bug is expensive for one cavity. 85 + shipping. Have a mold company, like Zorn Molds, quote a creature with rings just like the DBomb, $85/cavity will be real attractive after LOL
Walking Dead
I figured it would be costly to do, time and all. Somewhere though there is a break even point. I stick with the bumps or ridges. I know the bomb at BT does not have rings, but looks pretty close.
rcbv
In theory the deep ribs are supposed to hold air and release it on retrieve, I've never fished a deep rib soft bait so I don't know in practice how well it works. All ribs, surface bumps and ridges are meant to cause turbulence/noise on retrieve.
nedyarb
I use my bathtub to test my crankbaits. But one day I was messing around with a sweet beaver and was amazed at how the forward facing ribs trapped little air bubbles. I'm guessing it looks like it's breathing to a fish.
