Mudd Butt Baits
Just finished up on this new top water bait. It has a large popper nose, ribbed body with hook cavity and twister tails. What do you guys think?
mark poulson
I don't know what's more disturbing, the shape of the bait, or the mind that thought it up?!! Hahaha It's really cool looking. I hope it works for you.
nova
I like the double cup;neat idea. The plastic should be hard as you can make it on the cups. If you use soft it will just roll over on the edges of the cups. I like the way you think.
Travis
I agree with Nova the first thing I noticed is the two cups and going to be tricky to get them to perform correctly if plastic not hard or might have to go thicker. Ribs on a top water aren't something I look for either as they always seem to pick up "trash".

Mudd Butt Baits
I can not wait to get out and do some video of it. Maybe tomorrow if it is less windy. The work nice, great action, float a number 3 hook. and 4 hook.
mark poulson
I love the idea, and the execution. Congrats. Do they land belly down all the time? Do they roll on the retrieve? Do you have to use a weighted hook?
Mudd Butt Baits
They land different every time, but within a few pulls they go hook down. Depending on the retrieve, they roll once in a while. But again right themselves quickly. I use a #3 or #4 hook. The weight of the hook seems to keep them where they should be. I could work with a weighted hook and see what it would take to float it and how little of weight I could get a way with. Going to do a quick video of them now. I will put ti up on the you tube channel, mudd butt baits.

Mudd Butt Baits
I spoke with the local stores that carry them and 2 wanted $10 and wanted $7 retail, we settled on $8. Again you will not find another anywhere. Only way to see if they will sell is try. Thanks
alsworms
I like the idea. Cool lookin' bait. I'm wondering if you can do them in laminates.......like a pearl belly? A watermelon top with a pearl belly would be deadly.

Mudd Butt Baits
I had the mold made with the bait top and bottom of the molds, I can pour one color in the bottom, let it set up and put the mold together and pour the other. You looking for some it I can do two color? The floating bubbles make the plastic a solid color, might be able to double up the bubbles and make the bottom of the bait the plastic that does not float? This would take a lot of playing around. Richard Prager
Are these poured from your standard plastisol. How durable are they? They do look great in the water and hope you have exclusivity on the mold design! Good luck with it. Didn't notice the $8 for 5 of them. That's not bad at all......I NEED SOME! GOT SOME........ Mudd Butt Baits
They are made from the salt water plastic from Lure Kraft. I have caught as many as 6 bass on one bait and could have caught more. Yes I see online at muddbuttbait.com. Thank you everyone for the response.
