army-boot
Looking to take advantage of the fourth of july sale. I was looking @ the BT 660 and 631. The 631 looks to be quite highly regarded here.Does anyone have experience with the 660? Any others I should be looking at? I dont really throw swimbaits much, this might help out lol. Frank
It's the tail you should look at. Anything with that type of tail is a great bait that swims great at slow speeds. Both of those are great choices.
Saugerman
I have both molds, and couldn't be happier with them, they shoot easy, and makes a dynamite bait, with great action.
army-boot
Thanks for the info guys! I've thrown a swimbait literally one time, a keitech swing impact. Appreciate the input! Another noob question. I'll probably get the 4 cavity 660, seems like a great deal with the sale. They say get the top inject for laminates... I see no laminate plate option. What am I missing? Blending block? Edited July 4, 2014 by army-boot
Frank
It has individual injection ports for each bait so you can have a top to bottom laminate. Even a laminate plate would not give you a top to bottom laminate because the way the mold must be cut. You sound like Kevin he does not throw swim baits either or rarely. I asked him for the 7.5 ringed bait awhile ago and he told me, you guys use baits bigger than the bass in Arizona waters. You have to throw them if you get the mold cause when you catch one on a swim bait you my never go back.
army-boot
Just about ready to pull the trigger! My buddy is addicted to swim baits, and you're right, they do throw huge here! Like gigantic trout swimbait huge! Such a foreign concept to me but it does make sense.
Painter1
The 631 blunt nose can be made very soft and it mates perfectly to a bullet head jig. My guys love them for A rigs.
