GillGrabber
Interested in seeing other lure dryers others are using. Mine uses a disco ball motor from Best Buy...$14 cost. 3 RPM does a great job for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1SCdXXI2uo&feature=youtu.be
mark poulson
Well done. I like how you used a swivel for your live center. Simple and clean build.
GillGrabber
I was looking at some fly-tying clamps for the motor shaft to hold the lure but geez...those are way expensive. Orvis sells a dryer for about $65..also too expensive.
kevin24018
check ebay for rotisserie motors can get them for $10 shipped with a plug. You can get the turn table motor from microwaves cheap as well think those are around 5 rpm
BobP
I've used this turner for 14 yrs. Guys build their turners to suit their build process and the volume of baits they build. Mine is pretty simple and was knocked together in an hour. The 4 rpm timing motor cost me $7 online, the alligator clips were a few bucks from HDepot.
Anglinarcher
Do an ebay search for "geared motors". I got mine from a guy who salvages medical equipment, but about $5, and it is variable speed and reversible.
rustyman
I use a rotiserie that i made two discs on either side stabbed through the spikes with coffee cup holders. I use metal i bent into "s" shapes with rubber bands to hold the lure. Mine has 8 bait spots.
