biggamefish
Hey guys I've search and couldnt get a good answer, anyways, I've carved out a little 5" paddle tail swimbait that has a flat top that will be in a open top pour mold if that makes any sense, which would be the best soft plastic to use for a 5" swimbait to give it good action and yet still durable ? It's going to be use mainly for large mouth/spotted bass and sometimes stripers Thanks in advanced
Shane D
Probably some trial and error. It all depends on the person fishing them. I would start with salt water plastic. If you want tough baits. I used a mix of regular and soft for mine. But did not care how tough they were as long as they swam good.
Slammingjack
I use MF 464. 50%-50% reg. and saltwater. Tough bait with very good action. I do mostly swimbaits. It's swims real good and even catchs fish lol
biggamefish
What is MF 464?? Sorry really new to this
MonteSS
Use regular plastic (any brand) and add one tablespoon of do-it HD additive per 4 oz. Very durable and soft baits.
Shane D
Mf 464 is a blend of saltwater plastic and regular plastic mixed by the factory.

biggamefish
I also forgot to mention I that I want the baits tail to be able to kick on a slow bottom dragging retrieve, is the 464 plastic soft enough to do this?
MonteSS
Only reason for harder plastic for swims is toothy critters (usually saltwater use)
