Lurecraft 947 And 392?

Recommended Posts

I was curious if anyone has tried the Lurecraft 947 mold?  I was curious how it casts and swims.  I was looking to use it for a swimbait and drop shot.  I would love to get a basstackle 631 ringed swimbait but just can not justify the cost right now to start injection casting.

Also does anyone have pictures of the Lurecraft 392?  I sure wish Lurecraft would upgrade some of their pictures

Thanks!

The 947 is a great little bait. It's a finesse type swimbait and I would call the action subtle. It swims and rolls well, but it doesn't have a huge woble and roll that some bigger baits have. Never thrown it on a drop shot, but I think it would be a great option.

I've caught tons of smallmouth on the 947 on just a plain jighead. It's really does well in a little cooler water too.

School master, have you caught alot of fish on the a rig? I have fished it some with mixed success. Have only caught a couple fish above 5 lbs on it, but had a lot of days with very little luck. I used the 5 head rigs, with the BT 661 swimbait, in white or baby bass color, or smoke with silver glitter. I fish it on Lake Barkley.

I have mostly been fishing it in water under 60 degrees, down to around 40.
