chirmy
I have had the pleasure of fishing with Bret Hite, I beleive this is his second classic, I am rooting for him and John Murray. Yes they are westerners, but they did pretty well on BASS' Pro Scheduel back East.
BuMMeRBaits
Speaking of Snowden, I got to meet him this past Sunday at the Classic Outdoor Expo. A really nice guy. Was talking with him, when one of my kids told him I poured my own plastic baits, and that really caught his attention. Start talking a little bit about lure making and that he use to pour his own way back in the day. Also meet Shaw Grigsby, Bill Dance, Larry Mize, Woo Davies, Gerald Swindle and several other Pros. All were realy nice guys and a pleasure to talk with. Even got to talk with Ray Sedgewick who gave me some pointers for the Santee Cooper Lakes, where I fish at. Got lots of pictures and autographs, took a new hat with me and it's coverd from front to back with autographs.
Tally
O.K.-- I will beat you all to the punch and eat a little crow. Missouri boys didn't fair so well. Denny Brauer's lack of a limit on day 2 certianly hurt. Consistancy and a limit, that is the key. It was a fantastic classic to follow as there were alot of anglers who still had a chance if they caught an 18 lbs. bag. Pretty good drama at the end.
