Lucky Craft 1.5 Drs Vs. Ko Lucky Craft 1.5 Drs

Recommended Posts

I have recently purchased a Lucky Craft 1.5 DRS in the TO Shad color and the first day out with it I caught a 5 pounder, I want a cheaper way to still have a quality bait so I decided I am going to compare the real Lucky Craft to a ko. My kos will be delivered to my house in 2 or 3 days. My comparison will be based on the action, quality, internals, weight, and how many bass they will catch at the same body of water, doing the same retrieve, at the same time. I am having a really hard time believing a Lucky Craft is THAT much better them the ko when they look identical. I will post my results on this thread in a few days, post your theories or your own test results.

They are not that much better...paint jobs are mediocre...clear is terrible (on LC). I did the same comparison on 1.5 Squarebills and found my baits were as good if not better than lucky craft. I am in the process of selling the lucky crafts as I am convinced mine are equal replacements. The best part is you will not give a second thought to throwing your bait into a "snaggy" looking spot that you may think twice throwing a $15-$20 bait. I am sold

Recently started painting my own lures....mostly LC knockoffs.  The KO square bills seem to fish as well as the name brand  and cost  a lot le$$.  Plus I get the chance to tune the patterns to the lakes and ponds I fish.  I've found several places to get blanks  and most of them are good....just have to search for who has the best models and prices.
