anw0625
What is the difference in hand poured and injection molded lures. I know the process but anything in the action or anything?
Bass-Boys
if you compared the same bait.. 1- hand poured and 1 injected... and the plastic recipe was the same for each bait then they would be the same. a softer bait most of the time has more action... a softer bait can be made either way too. smallmouthaholic
What is the difference in hand poured and injection molded lures. I know the process but anything in the action or anything? Injection can produce a life-like representation w/ numerous, small appendages that do not require hand trimming due to flash or over pouring that is usually a problem associated w/ hand pouring. Multi-cavity ,injection molds have superior production ability w/ uniformity & clean consistency.
TroutSupport.com
You're also somewhat limited on the shape of the hand pour mold... on the injection mold the sky is the limit for shapes as long as you pay attention to where it's going to part and if you can make that a straight line the molds will perform better and probably be cheaper to make. I think there are options here as well, but generally that is the case.
