Pearl Powder Paint And Baking Question

Recommended Posts

Used some pearl paint for first time today. After painting and curing looks like it needs a second coat.

Is this trait of this color or I not getting enough paint on them?

Painting using a fluid bed.

Next question. Has anyone ever used the curing rack or  holder that that holds jigs by the hook with the heads up that TJ's tackle sells?

Thanks For Your Help!

Yes...I have 6 of the TJ's curing racks. Work perfect!

I also use them  if I put a coat of the CS Coatings UV Blast Seal Coat on a jig or spinnerbait.

Make sure you shake your pearl powder paint really well before using.....and typically I do not need to put more than one coat on. I swish the jig around in my fluid bed (also from TJ's)  which seems to help.Give it a quick tap when you pull it out...before you put it back over the heat to fully set.  I then cool them in a cup of water and let them completely dry before I bake them at 350 for 20 minutes in my cheap toaster oven.
