hazmail Posted January 5, 2015 Report Share Posted January 5, 2015 Thanks Mark- the hook is held by a S/s clip - I have made a few versions of these, great success with the 'snagless' part, but not a lot with it hooking fish, although this shape/ size /colour (and a few other colours) is a good trout catcher with trebles attached. Pete That's a clever idea! I made several versions of a single hook crank, after seeing the Sebile version, and always just relied on the weight of the hook to keep it below the crank body. I also made some weedless frog with drop down hooks, and used magnets to hold the hooks down. The sst clip is a really smart solution. Thanks for sharing it. Why I ask is, someone asked if I had copied a 'Sebile' lure when I made the one pictured (this is 'Mk 2')--I had never seen any Sebile 'hard baits' with a retractable hook, so I went and checked their site, all I could find was moulded soft plastics with single hooks, with some sort of special rubber weighting system - BUT when you start looking at patents there is all sort of angles and hook set ups in there.
