cadman
That will work as well. Lot of good ideas out there. Just have to find what works for you.
Darkman
very nice brother, are you using tin for the weight?

21xdc
What purpose is the swivel you tie to? I use a Jika rig a lot and like less hardware personally.
fishhook
It is just one way of about 10 different types I make or use . I like to be able to change hooks and weight sizes if I need too as well . Plus make a rig for about 20 cents instead of 5 dollars lol........ 21xdc
You missed the question... Why the swivel? Why not tie to the hook snap? That's what I would do. Unless you have a reason for the swivel... That's why I asked.
fishhook
First of all it's easier to tie a line on . Some solid rings are rough in texture and do not tie well . Second I don't like split rings on a jika rig , split rings can stop some of the action . I like my jika rig to really be loose and free . 21xdc
Have you considered the brand "Decoy" Egg Snap? One piece to have the loosest hook and weight, yet tie on good metal.
