JRammit
Anybody got any tips on pouring colored tails in a 1 piece mold??... I'm pouring a new jerk bait with a skinny strait tail, they turn out great pouring a light color belly under a dark color back... But when I try to pour a different colored tail, I end up with high or low spots where the colors meet... Can't get them to overlap evenly.... Is there a trick to this?? gone2long
Well the only way I found to get a clean transition is to pout the bait in the color of the tail and then cut the tail off place back in the mold and pour. Lotta work though hope your just doing it for your self Yopu could try and make a gate out of some thin aluminum to stick in your mold at the point and let it set up and remove to pour the tail, I have a few molds with this technique for making split tails and they come out nice. Travis
This is how I usually approach it. For most molds easy enough for me to pour one cup in my left hand and then the other in my right. I pour the main body and then slow the pour to a thin stream and then pour the tail and flow both colors to meet.

Kajan
Well it can be done also using presto pots, If you have everything set up, you can dump your first colour in the mold from first pot, then slide it under second pot and dump your next colour
