BuckMaxx
I have read a lot of the posts about this here on TU. Yesterday I got my butt kicked by a friend in a club tourney... on a Jackall DS bait. After the tourney ended, my buddy and I went back out to his spot. I fished my similar shape and color hand poured baits vs his Jackall's. He caught about 2 to 1 against me. The only thing we could come up with was that scent was the difference.( I don't scent mine) They would hold onto his while they'd just whack at mine. Does anyone know what scent Jackall uses? If I use a manufactured scent, what is the best one? Do I put it in the plastic and pour it all or just put it in the bag? Thanks
DaveMc1
nothing, they do salt the daylights out of theirs and they are very soft. May not have had anything to do with the bait, could have been fishing it slightly different without knowing it.
BuckMaxx
I appreciate your response. Not doubting you because I don't know...When you put them in the water there was a definite oil slick coming off of them. They also say they are scented that's why I asked.
DaveMc1
if they do the 60 bags of cross tails I have in my shop don't smell like anything but plastic. they could, I don't know. they are very soft and salty. could be many different reasons. Bassinfool
If there's a scent on jackal baits I honestly can't discern what it is. As far as I can tell its just worm oil in the bag with the baits.
BuckMaxx
I had also thought about that too. The do make some great baits. those clone fry's are insane looking but boy they are pricey ouch!

alsworms
The bass have internet now. You never cease to make me laugh, Mark. Thanks.......I needed that today! In a sense, the internet HAS screwed up a few things. I'm a huge hard rock / heavy metal guy and used to go to concerts all the time. Nowadays, you can't even go online without finding out what a band's setlist is. Kind of ruins it for those going to the show! Okay......back on topic...... Carry on............ archery1
wi-fi ????? u pay there bill ?
mark poulson
Yeah, there are no more secrets or surprises, if you use the internet. It's a double-edged sword that way. But, back in the 60's, my truck's tube radio died, so I wound up with a small transistor radio hanging from the wind wing. I never heard bass, and couldn't even understand most of the lyrics. So now, with the nice radio in my truck, it's like all the songs are new, but the tunes are familiar. I even find myself going online to check some of the lyrics, because I thought they were different, way back when I first heard them. I was actually relieved when I found out no one else understood the words to Louie, Louie and Inagodaofvida. Hahaha
mark poulson
wi-fi ????? u pay there bill ? I think they pay by piggyback/pirating on the WiFi on our cellphones when we're fishing for them, and charging it to us.
rixon529
I never heard bass, and couldn't even understand most of the lyrics.Like Jimi Henrix' "purple Haze":"Excuse me while I kiss this guy".
Dink Mendez
I always spray Bang into the mold before pouring. The plastic will absorb the scent.
JRammit
What about taking baits hot out of the mold directly into scented oil?... I assume plastic, like anything else, has pores... Heat opens pores, so hot plastic should absorb better than cooled plastic... Right?..... Just got some crawfish oil and menhaden oil from Spike-It, not sure what I wanna so with it yet..?? Bassinfool
Kind of disappointed with the craw oil I got from spike it. It's just not as potent and stinky as I expected it to be.
JRammit
Has a dirty musky smell to it... I like it...
