scrubs
Ok, I'll settle for snag less! Fish a rocky fairly shallow lake from shore most times using inline 1/2 - 2/3 oz 5" spinners. Snag up a fair amount so a couple of questions. Will spinnerbaits hang up less? What size single hook for the inlines of this size? Using colorado and french blades, buzzer maybe even if they don't break the surface? Seems tinsel tails run deeper and hang up more. Marabou runs shallower but is not durable. Saddle hackle is in between. Anybody have any weedguard ideas? All comments appreciated. bill
Musky Glenn
I would recommend a good quality safety pin type spinner bait. Just heavy enough to stay off the bottom and when you feel it touch something just keep reeling at the same speed, don't jerk. They will come through a bunch of mess, will climb over limbs if you don't stop reeling when they touch the limb. Man, they catch fish if fish are shallow. scrubs
Thanks Glenn, I know you had mentioned them in the Hardbaits Muskie thread. I was doing a little searching after that and I saw some good info on the Booyah 3/4 oz Pikee spinnerbait for Muskie. I should try a couple. bill
