Several Questions

Recommended Posts

I've been pouring swimbaits and other open pour molds for a while and wanting to start injecting and have a few questions before I drop all the money on molds.

First, I'm looking at getting a a multi cavity senko type mold that I can do laminates with. I've looked at Dels and also Basstackle and am wondering if one is more user friendly than the other for laminates.

Second, I'm wanting something comparable to the keitech 3.8 and 4.8 swimbaits and so far the only thing I've found is the BT 631 and 639. Does anyone have this mold and if so is it comparable to the keitechs? Especially the thickness of the bait.

Third, I'll also be getting a BT twinjector so I am curious if they have a Black Friday or holiday sale since I'm probably about to drop a lot of money with them.

Thanks for any input and I shoulda listened to the addiction warnings I've read on here lol

We have 20 of the basstackle 5" sticks and several 6". They all laminate perfectly. The main thing you'll need to learn about making injected laminates is temp control. If your temps on both colors are within 10 degrees of each other you'll get great laminates almost every time. If you get off by 15 degrees or more your laminates will suffer. Hope this helps.

Check out High rock 10 cavity stick. Couple for sale CHEAP on Baitjunkuies forum.

Dels or Do-it are closest to real Senko. Dels needs heavy mods to make it shoot well.

Injectors are never allowed on the 20% off sale. Get it used. Just saw one somewhere.

Maybe Do-it or BJ site.

You just missed the Bobs and BT sale. Maybe send email to see if they can still offer it late
