WallsOut
I ordered a 5 gallon bucket from Dels and was wondering if it was alright to mix it into the gallon containers that my LC plastic was in. The reason I ask is that there is still some plastic stuck on the bottom of the LC container that I can't seem to get off. Will there be some sort of chemical reaction or should I not worry about it. Also what is the best way to mix that much plastic. I don't have any fancy tools and don't want to spend a fortune on anything to fancy. Would it work if I just grabbed it and shook it around for a couple minutes and then immediately poured it into my gallon containers. Thanks, Eric
Delw
First off I would really clean out the bucket extreamly good. Personally I would just use the bucket it came in. you can buy a turbo paint stirer that hooks up to an electric drill pretty cheap($5-$12) this is the best way to mix any plastic. Dont shake it you wont mix it good enough. you can however if you have another clean bucket transfer back and forth 10 + times Delw
WallsOut
Thanks for the reply Delw. You didn't just get my plastic to me fast you replied fast too. Is that the brand name on that thing and can I get one from Home Depot or Walmart. It's long enough to reach all the way down to the bottom without submerging the drill. Also how do I get out of the bucket with just a clean measuring cup? Thanks Again. I can't wait to try this stuff out. Eric
Delw
The mixer is avail at home depot and wallmart, its a brand name but anything close willwork, they are pleanty long. they look like a squirrell cage with a shaft moled to them that you stick into the drill chuck, they have 3/8s and I thought someone said they had a 1/4 or 5/16 shaft to. As far as getting it out of the bucket for pouring I use my wifes coffee cups. home depot and walmart will also sell 5 gal buckets and I think 1 gal buckets as well. woodsac
You can also buy new lids that have pour spouts built into them. You can find them at Home Depot. They make them for 1 and 5 gallon buckets. The good ones have a rubber o-ring on the inside of the lid. This will help keep moisture out. guiley
I've had pretty good luck with both LC and Calhoun throwing a few nuts and bolts into the gallon jug or bucket before you shake it. I also put a small hex nut into the LC colors to help with mixing. It works like the ball bearing in a can of spray paint. Brian
