ifishflorida
I am interested in learning how to pour my own soft plastics. I know nothing about plastic molding. All I want to do initially is duplicate an existing commercial product. Can you buy a mold or do they have to be made? I appreciate any help. woodsac
Check out this link. It will walk you through basic plastic pouring and there are some links at the bottom of the page. You can find molds at most of them. If you're interested in making your own molds, do a search for molds. There's tons of info in the archives on mold making. http://www.tackleunderground.com/mx/index.php?page=10&mode=article&k=

ifishflorida
Thanks. I copied that tutorial last night and read over it. Now at least I have a basic understanding of the procedure. Is it easy to make your own mold of an existing bait or do you just have to buy one that most closely matches it? All I want to do right now is make some soft jerkbaits. That is really the only saft plastics that I use enough of to make it worth my while. Thanks again.
