wishn4fishn
Zoom makes it as a special distributor color #133 but no picture. I did find a Bass Pro Stik-O in Texas Smoke.
alsworms
Tough to tell by that pic, but it looks like just dark smoke (you'll have to play with the black until you get the shade you like) and maybe silver flake?
rixon529
This shows better detail. http://www.tacklecenter.com/prodimages/3199-DEFAULT-l.jpg Looks like smoke with black and blue flake. Rick SE CT
alsworms
Great shot there, Rick. If that's the Texas Smoke color mentioned, it looks pretty simple........ Looks like a drop of black to about 4 ounces of plastic with large (.062) flake..........
wallyc14
Haven't used Bass Pro Shops version in a long time but I know it's a smoke color with blues and reds and greens and a couple other colors in it
alsworms
Can't believe I left out purple in my post. Looks like purple flake to me. LOL!
mark poulson
If I were trying to make that color, I'd add just a drop of black to my clear, and a drop of heat stabilzer to start, and then my flake, because flake changes the color of the finished plastic, at least for me. I'd make up a small batch that was just for trying to get the color right, so I wouldn't waste my time and plastic pouring something I wound up not liking. Remember, it's always easier to make a color darker than to try to get it lighter, so go slow and take notes.
Bassinfool
And if all else fails and you do mess it up, add a lot of black! Hard to mess up black.
alsworms
LOL - both great points. I forgot about the stabilizer too. That stuff was a Godsend for me when I poured, especially working with purple flake and lighter colors.
rixon529
Can't believe I left out purple in my post. Looks like purple flake to me. LOL! On my tablet the flake looks blue but on my desktop PC it looks purple. Never realized how very different things can look from one device to another!
