WidowMaker
I spoke with Dennis Hatfield early this morning and he informed me that the leading manufacturer of living rubber material here in the U. S. has officially ceased production and gone out of business.

topher
I gave up on the L R, I hear that L.R. Co. is going to be charging about $14/ pound for the stuff, I heard this from a guy that has about 200# on back order... $14/# is too rich for my blood as far as LR is concerned, I like the stuff, but it is too time consuming for that price... I hope that someone else is going to import it or start making it here, because I think that LR Co. is going to jack it up more and more. WidowMaker
Are you talking about Living Rubber Company out of Byron California. Living Rubber Po. Box 336 Byron Ca. 94514-9502 Their current price for round rubber is $10.95 per pound and the price for regular is $13.95 per pound. Do you guys think that Living Rubber Company is a bit expensive on their silicone material prices? They dont accept the IRS#637 Form and whenever i ask for a particular color sample they charge me for it. Do individuals who are not "officially in the business" buy materials from Living Rubber Company for the same price we pay?
siebler_custom_baits
I pay those prices you gave. I buy fine rubber and it is a little more than the others but to me its worth it. I have bought silicon from them and to me silicone is pricy in general and i rubber works just as well for me since we use basic colors here like black, brown, chart and white. Mr B
Living Rubber called me back on Tuesday and said it is still going to be another 4-6 weeks. The new manufacturing plant is making the rubber however they will not ship until all the colors are complete. So what was first said to be early june, then mid july is now mid august. We'll see. Mr B
I pay those prices also. And like CJ I get the Frog Hair. I dont think their silicone prices are too out of control. I just hate it when I buy some silicone from a supplier and it comes all tweeked and stuck together and has perminate curls in the skirts . siebler_custom_baits
that is why i thinhk it is overpriced. When it is thrown in a bag it gets messed up and i would rather use rubber and get it for cheaper than silicone
