calvinnemail
Hi, is there an alternative to the dyes you can use for soft lures? I've seen some pretty affordable dyes at walmart. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Color-Splash-Neon-Fabric-Paint-4-oz-Set-of-6/33396975 Any affordable sites? Thank you! DaveMc1
when you start to see how far a bottle of colourant can go you won't worry about it. There are a few things that you can use but I haven't really seen a commercially readily available liquid colourant other than whet the supply sites already sell. The stuff you listed could be a water based dye which would be a huge no.
mark poulson
My experience with dyes is that they are only good for one color baits, because they all bleed. I haven't found a cheap source. I stick with the colors I get from the plastics sellers, because they work. calvinnemail
Thanks for your replies. What color do you recommmend i buy to be able to mix the most colors? Red, blue , green?
mark poulson
I use black, watermelon green, green pumpkin, brown, and chartreuse mostly. I add drops of one or the other to get the color and shading I want. Remember, if you add flake, it will affect what you plastic looks like, so do some small batch experiments first, so you don't waste a lot of plastic.
