Painter1
I must be looking in the wrong places and would welcome a recommended source for Green Pumpkin Color bucktail and zonkers. Thanks and Merry Christmas
smalljaw
You can't find them because they don't call any hair green pumpkin, what you want to look for is dark olive for the zonkers and bucktail. If you can't find dark olive for the bucktail just look at different places with olive and see who has the darkest but Barlows does have dark olive zonkers. Sculpin olive is a shot in the dark, sometimes it is darker than regular olive and sometimes it is lighter, try to find places with pictures. You can also do what I do and that is blend colors for green pumpkin, I tie in some brown and then go over top with olive, it makes a good green pumpkin bucktail but if you can find dark olive that will be as close to green pumpkin as you can get in bucktail. Painter1
Thanks for that. I was tempted with the Dark Olive but it's tough to tell with computer pictures. Mixing is a great idea. I plan to make a traditional FB jig with a mix of hair & silicone with maybe a bit of flash to see how it comes out and how it works in this cold clear water we have at Table Rock & Bull Shoals. LOL, it's your fault, since I get the bug from watching you YT videos. Thank you, Sir.
