I have an injector already and I thought about getting a blending block and another injector and fabricating a way to keep the injectors together instead of paying the extra $100 for the whole unit. Frank Posted January 10, 2015 Report Share Posted January 10, 2015 Yes it is well worth it. I have the first one Basstackle ever produced and it is still going. If you already have one injector just keep it you will use it. There is a lot more than just something to keep them together. It is more of a whole package. ipt Posted January 12, 2015 Report Share Posted January 12, 2015 swirls are tough, you pretty much need to get your injector or mold to spin while you inject. the easiest way to do it is to pulsate the injectors back and fourth slowly. it wont give you a real swirl but it will give it a similar look of both colors mixed randomly. ipt Posted January 12, 2015 Report Share Posted January 12, 2015 i was under the impression different temperatures would just create a jagged seem. havent tried it much myself but would like to see some pics of swirls done with diff temperatures on the twin injector with both injectors shooting evenly. Apdriver Posted January 13, 2015 Report Share Posted January 13, 2015 Here's one I did awhile back in a 702 using the alternating injection method and a stick that laminate that made a little swirl where the two colors met while just producing a laminate. I used the twin injector and they just turned out that way. I did have do its HD additive in it and a lot of color. If memory serves me well, I shot it pretty hot. 320 or so. The fish liked them too.
