texacan84
I just purchased a bottle of heat stabilizer in a 4oz bottle from lurecraft and have never used any before. Can anyone tell me how many drops per cup? I'm using a microwave for open pour. Thanks.... George
alsworms
George... That's very strong stuff. 1 ounce per gallon of plastic should be more than enough. Any more than that is overkill (unless you're doing continual reheats for tails and such), and stabilizer has a strong odor. You don't want that smell in your end product...... Hope this helps
alsworms
Ooops..... Just realized you asked how many drops per cup. Sorry can't help with that one. I usually just kept a couple gallons set aside already mix with extra stabilizer...........

archery1
1-3 drops per cup should be enough.. heat stab. is great when ur making clear baits. i usually use additional 1-3 drops if i reheat plastic up more then 4 times
texacan84
Thanks archery1. I was wondering about if i could add any during the heating process or if it was only adding it before you start seeing as i do reheat a lot while im pouring especially doing 2 colors. Thanks...George
