Dink Mendez
I notice there has been some of the new yamamoto senko used molds for sale. I was just curious because the molds are the prefect approved senko. I use Del molds- I was just surprised to see the new USED molds for sale so quickly. Is there some thing wrong with the molds? Bassinfool
Nothing wrong with mine, I love it. Makes really nice baits.

FATFLATTIE
Are you talking about the essential series molds? Because they have like a sand paper finish to the bait. That may be why people dont like them???
Bassinfool
Here is a good link to the do it forum to get a good comparison of the baits. http://custombaits.com/index.php?topic=6652.msg49536#msg49536
FATFLATTIE
Wow, after looking at the side by side there isn't much of a difference at all. The fish certainly won't notice IMO?
Bassinfool
No it's certainly not enough for the fish to notice.
wallyc14
I have the mold . It's ok , not great but ok I have had problems with it. I had to open up the gate some to keep it from denting so bad but this is my experience with the mold
gone2long
I've read a few reports how they don't like the doit logo on the bait

PeteZipczech
As I understand it the do-it on the bait was required by Yamamoto in order to liscence the production of the mold. That way no one confuses it for a "real" GYB Senko

That way no one confuses it for a "real" GYB Senko Yeah that's the reason but it wasn't and still isn't explained in the description when purchasing the mold some folks don't like selling baits with someone else's advertisement on them. joelhains
Wow! I didn't realize they have their name on the actual bait itself. That is a deal breaker for me. I was considering selling the stick bait molds I have to purchase a few of these. They definitely don't mention the "Do-It" name being on the bait in the description. But if you look real close you can see it in one of the pics. Too Bad...
Dink Mendez
Are you talking about the essential series molds? Because they have like a sand paper finish to the bait. That may be why people dont like them??? There you go! I just surprised me to see the new first series mold for sale so fast. I don't own one, just curious why I see 7 different times for sale. mark poulson
Wouldn't a sand paper finish catch more water, and increase the bait's action even more?
PeteZipczech
In the side by side photos I saw on do-its forum it was pretty hard to even see the difference.
wallyc14
The cnc senko mold other than do its name on it there is no difference
PeteZipczech
I was talking about the finish on the essential series mold vs the cnc and the original gyb bait.

gone2long
I've seen both, the essential series is sand casted in their foundry so it has a sand finish if that makes any sense but I applaud them for creating this lineup I haven't met a fish yet that requires a machined finish on plastic bait, we as fishermen have lost touch with reality when we require super smooth perfect symmetry and tight tolerances in a mold. I'm happy with my Del's combo mold 4" and 5" 2 cavities each identical to the senko

If my first, crude hand pours caught fish any of the baits in the essential line will do the same.
joelhains
That fact is though, if you are selling baits they need to look good to the fishermen buying them. And if your selling them, you don't want Do-it's name on the finished product. Edited January 31, 2015 by joelhains
MonteSS
I have a Dels 5" custom eight cavity. Same as Senko and shoots perfect baits every time.
Bassinfool
I have a Dels 5" custom eight cavity. Same as Senko and shoots perfect baits every time. Only problem with Dels is it may take you forever and a day to actually get your mold if you have to order through him.
