Silo1688
This is my first attempt to make a custom homemade swim bait out of clay. Then I plan to make an RTV mold then create a plastic "master". Then I can create multiple cavity mold. 1) is my approach correct? Should I change anything? Vodkaman
Yes, this reads correct. The clay is your master and needs to be stored away safe after it has done its job. Why not post a picture of your master and document your progress. People learn more from other's first attempts. Dave

Why not create a plastic multi cavity mold master, make the first mold and cast a resin master of it, then you will have a hard durable master of the final mold and the clay master of the bait. heck, you could probably make several resin masters if you don't want to wait 24hr for each mold to cure.
