taylor1595
Has anyone shot any baits with any of the twin injectors that are other than 1:1? I'm looking at possibly getting one of the other ratios to shoot swimbaits where just the back is a different color but can't dec which ratio to get. Anyone have any pics of baits shot with them? Frank
That has been talked about this here before but nobody ever really made one for sale. Would like to see this also. But the design puts it up to someone with a shooting star system. Will be interesting to see the difference between all of them but doubt someone will have them all. Yes-I have one and it works fine. Frank is correct-it is for use w/ the newer shooting star blending block that remains stationary. It is a 3-1 ratio which must be taken into consideration when preparing your plastic for injection.

bryanmc
Probably that you'll need 3 times more plastic on the big side I guess.
bass4cache
I'm also curios on how this different ratio thing would work? Like to see some finished results.
smallmouthaholic
What must be taken into consideration? You shoot the top color darker 1part plastisol) and the lighter belly color 3 parts plastisol. As you know Frank,I use presto pots w/ stirrers so- 2 cups for the top color and 6 cups for the bottom color so I use and run out of plastisol evenly. I am extremely busy and shooting swim-baits @ this time- in between filling orders.I will post pics when I have time. That said.,this dual injector is the real deal w/ the 1-3 Ratio barrels that produces an excellent swim-bait w/ the belly color wider then to top.You must have the newer blending block to use this dual injector.Chris Archer @Ultra-molds is beyond busy so I suggest you order one soon or you may wait for a long time.

Would love to see the results when you have time. Not sure if it makes that big a deal for me but if he could make three colors with the center one thin I would be. Frank, I should be able to post some pics over the weekend or early next week.Your 3rd color request is where the expertise w/ an air brush comes in. I have 3-4 and 5 color swim-baits but they are very time consuming to produce.

Three colored worms would be a piece of cake and the blood lines would not need to be hand pour only.

I'll let Robo Worm do what he does best Possibly in the future- 3 pots w/ stirrers -custom blending block to accommodate a 3 barrel injector w/ 3 different size barrels.I can just imagine Chris Archer's response when i run that by him. My checkbook balance The pics will not capture the iridescent sheen/glimmer/highlight colors I can put into my swim-baits w/an airbrush but I will put them up in 3-4 days. You have to rotate them in sunlight to appreciate them. Please don't classify them as advertisement

Just want to see the proportion of the colors and how much different it is. The airbrush stuff is another story.
taylor1595
Not an advertisement at all since we asked for pics. I'm purchasing a shooting star system and am very intrigued by the different ratio injectors.
MuskyGary
Just looked at them, he has five sizes: 1-1, 1-1.25, 1-1.75, 1-2.25, 1-3.25. This is something new and everybody is always interested in new information. . Wonder how you fill them as pulling the plunger back would fill one side more?
bryanmc
Yes, it will fill more volume wise but not level wise (if that makes sense). If you pull the pistons back on a 1.5" injector and a 3/4" injector equal distance, they will draw in different volumes but fill to the same vertical level inside the tube.. MuskyGary
Would love to see some video's on the different sizes to be able to compare them. Also would just like to see the injection process before I buy one.
