spoonpluggergino
I am thinking on doing some videos and my main question is how to set up a video camera beside a tripod, when filming video by yourself Gino
Vodkaman
Lighting is the next thing. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but will make a difference. Don't shoot 20 minutes of planned narration with out doing a few seconds test shot first, to make sure the light and sound are OK. If your hands are in for a close-up, you might want to clean your nails (I always forget). Enjoy, it is fun Dave
Musky Glenn
I read your post as wanting to know how to hold your camera with out the use of a tripod. Most camera's use a 1/4 inch bolt in the bottom. Find a bolt of that size and "make" a wooden stand that pivots to set where you need. Vodkaman
Ha! - I read it as, 'apart from a tripod, what else do I need'. A bean bag will work - fill one of your wife's new stockings with dried lentils or peas and tie off - she won't mind. Dave
spoonpluggergino
I should have been clearer, the tripod is no problem. What I am thinking is that when working on a bench to get a good camera shot maybe should build a shelf or mount off a wall using the 1/4 screw that camera have with a ram mount, or something in that nature. Remote control for the zoom would be nice Gino
Don-Art
l would think that a small ram mount might be the ticket. I also believe that a standard camera thread for the tripod would be 1/4"-20. Which should be easy to make a DIY mount.
